Britta Aragon, safe cosmetics expert, author and entrepreneur, developed CV SkinlabsTM in response to a need for non-toxic, effective skin care solutions. A luxurious and innovative line of products, CV Skinlabs sets a new standard for safety in the beauty industry, helping consumers enjoy a youthful radiance with skin care they can feel good about using. The collection features soothing and highly effective formulas that calm, repair, and deeply hydrate, while returning luminosity to dull, stressed skin. Each product delivers outstanding beauty benefits and proven results, with ingredients chosen for the utmost efficacy and safety, every step of the way. The carefully formulated range of options can be used with peace of mind by all—particularly those with sensitive skin, chemical sensitivities or conditions such as eczema and chronic dryness, to name a few.
Britta discovered her passion for promoting safe self-care through her experience as a caregiver during her father’s eight-year battle with cancer. A survivor of Hodgkin’s disease herself, she understands firsthand the devastating effects cancer and cancer treatments can have on the skin. When she tried products specifically targeted for “sensitive skin,” they were often laden with potentially harmful chemicals that actually irritated her father’s fragile skin. She became acutely aware of how devastating the side effects from drugs and medical treatments could be. Inspired and determined to help others, she founded Cinco Vidas in 2008, and dedicated her work to her father’s legacy.
Creator of The Cinco Vidas Blog
Britta’s first project, the Cinco Vidas blog, was created for those suffering from the side effects of cancer treatment and from conditions like chronic dryness and eczema. Dedicated to highlighting natural solutions and creating awareness about potentially harmful chemicals in personal care products, foods, and the environment, the blog has since evolved into a robust information source and interactive community attracting more than 30,000 visitors per month.
With her successful blog going strong, Britta wrote the book she wished she’d had while going through cancer, and while caring for her father during his 8-year cancer battle. When Cancer Hits (published September 2011) is a complete guide to navigating all the changes one may experience between the doctor’s office and everyday living, and includes real-life stories from survivors, plus advice from doctors and experienced health experts. Creator + Founder of CV Skinlabs
Inundated with queries for product recommendations and safer solutions, Britta decided who better than she—a former makeup artist and skincare therapist—to develop a line of safer products addressing sensitive skin? She assembled an expert team of leading dermatologists, toxicologists and holistic skincare chemists, and developed CV SkinlabsTM, a safe, non-toxic range of products to repair and restore radiance to sensitive and fragile skin—without harmful chemicals.
Setting a new standard for safety, CV Skinlabs provides a range of specially formulated skin care products that can be used with peace of mind by men and women, particularly by those with chemical sensitivities, compromised skin, medically treated skin, and conditions like eczema and chronic dryness. By refusing to use suspect ingredients that may have links to hormone disruption, cancer, skin irritation and allergies, or other health risks—and by putting each product through a rigorous model of testing for purity, tolerance, and customer satisfaction—the brand produces formulations that are effective, soothing, and truly worthy of being called “safe.”
With the goal of changing the way we look at skin, as a doorway to what’s inside us, CV Skinlabs seeks to educate and advocate for the utmost caution and care in the creation of all personal care products, for the betterment not only of the skin’s condition, but the health of the entire body, mind, and spirit.
